DR Strings Pure Blues Pure Nickel Electric Guitar Strings Light 9-42 | Vintage Tone & Smooth Playability

• RICH VINTAGE TONE - Enjoy richer, fatter guitar tone thanks to round-core construction. DR Strings uses this old-school technique to give Pure Blues strings their harmonically warm tone and increased sustain
• SUPERIOR PLAYABILITY - Pure Blues strings’ round core delivers exceptionally smooth playability and touch sensitivity. Play expressive vibrato without fighting your strings
• HARMONICALLY RICH SOUND - Pure nickel wrap wire gives Pure Blues strings punchy lows, rich mids, and super-smooth highs. It’s a well-balanced starting point to craft your own signature electric guitar tone
• PUNCHY ATTACK, ENHANCED SUSTAIN - The round core combined with DR Strings’ compression winding technique give Pure Blues strings more mass, enhancing resonance and sustain
• LESS WEAR ON FRETS - Compression winding results in smoother strings that create less friction on your frets, for a smoother feel under your fingers and less wear on your frets

• Remove Old Strings — Carefully remove the old strings one by one from your electric guitar, noting their gauge and placement to ensure correct installation of the new set.
• Install New Strings — Thread the new DR Strings Pure Blues (9-42) through the bridge and tailpiece. For the low E string (0.042), thread it through the tailpiece and wind it onto the tuning post, leaving enough slack for 2-3 wraps.
• Tune and Stretch — Tune the guitar to pitch. Gently stretch each string by pulling it lightly away from the fretboard and retuning. Repeat this process until the strings hold their tuning reliably.
• Fine-tune and Play — Once tuned, play the strings to check for any buzzing or intonation issues. Make minor adjustments to the tuning machines as needed. Enjoy the warm, vintage tone and smooth feel.
